How did you get started modeling?
It's just been something I did for fun up until a few months ago. In 2002 my friend Alan was taking a photography class in school, and asked me to be a subject for him. That's the first time I believe I did anything professional wise.
What excites you about modeling?
I enjoy seeing the outcome of a collaborative creative effort - something I imagine in my mind that comes to life in a photo. I enjoy getting extreme feedback, positive or negative; same with my art. It means it's doing it's job.
Do you come from a background of training in the arts?
My family has a history of art. My dad worked with photography and bands when he was a kid; my mother is an artist, my grandfather was an artist. Through school I always had a basic art class included in my lineup, and I'd throw in a drama or music class here and there. It's a part of who I am. The things I'm best at I've never had training for, ironically enough.
What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?
I enjoy dark themed shoots - not outfits in particular. I did a shoot with Dark Art Designs recently that I got to wear an Erzsebet Bathory costume that I made a few years ago. It wasn't a Bathory shoot, but I enjoyed bringing that piece in the design. Is blood considered a favorite outfit?
What are your least favorites?
Light hearted outfits or things that don't reflect who I am. I get very uncomfortable when someone tries to transform me into something I'm not. I met up with a photographer once that knew what I looked like, but wanted to do a Sears catalog look, so he had me put on a blonde wig and a one shoulder dress. Needless to say, the photos didn't come out well. I was extremely uncomfortable.
How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?
I've always been interested in that kind of stuff; the things people shy away from spark some form of interest to me. I worked at an adult super center when I was 19, and it was so amazing to discover how many different things there were than you think when someone says 'sex toy'.
Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?
If I told you the things I've done behind closed doors, or think about doing behind closed doors, I would either be arrested or put in a mental asylum.
What is it about Tattoos that intrigues you?
My parents put me in counseling when I was in elementary school for drawing on myself all of the time. They did it again in middle school, and I switched to drawing on my clothes. Skin is the most amazing medium for art to me. Why not use it?
Are there any other creative mediums you work in?
I will create with just about anything you give me. I love painting. I do music, sewing, sculpting, building. Whatever comes to mind I'll give it a shot.
What kind of music do you like?
I give most anything a shot unless it's rap or country. Can't stand either. My taste in bands change from time to time, but I usually have a good amount that I listen to at one point or another. A band that's stayed in my interest since I first listened to them on VH1's Insomniac Theater if I remember correctly, is Tool. I love 80's rock, now that I think about it, that's probably the majority of what I listen to.
What do you like to do for fun?
Paint, mostly. As for going out, I work for a horror convention in Orlando, Spooky Empire, that has their conventions twice a year. I started there by volunteering, and those are the main two weekends I look forward to for fun. It is such an experience.
