How did you get started modeling?
I always wanted to model when I was a child. I did a few runway shows when I was an adolescent. Then in my teenage years I formed a cocoon and got insecure and shy. This lasted for about a decade! Surprisingly, somehow I went from not allowing myself to wear a V-neck shirt, to exotic dancing when I was 21. I discovered my body, I discovered who I was. And I learned to express myself again. I grew accustomed to my body and I started modeling bout 6 years later. I loved it from my first shoot. I started modeling primarily nude work because I was more comfortable being nude from my dancing history. As I continued modeling I've grown accustomed to clothing and accessories as props. Now I love a shoot weather I'm naked, wearing an evening gown, or smothered up in pleather!! I love it all!
What excites you about modeling?
On certain days preparing for a shoot is awesome and I love it from networking and emailing to packing my bags, to meeting the photographer through out finalization of the shoot. On other days... I don’t wanna get outta bed.... I ignore my computer... I pack the essentials, start putting my make up on with rockin music and all of a sudden I’m excited for the shoot and its the highlight of a horrible day!! I'm excited to go to work and have a great few hours!! Then back home for hibernation with movies and a bottle of wine :) I think the whole idea of modeling is somewhat an adrenaline rush. No matter what is going on that day you are getting paid for 2,4,6,8 or more hours of being any character, sophisticated or shameless. Its almost like acting...but you get to add your own interpretation thru movement (posing) and facial expression. For me its a release and self expression that involves my daily life. When I get an awesome cup at a movie theater I think to myself... I can use this as a prop one day Or when a lens pops out of my sunglasses I intentionally break the other one out so I can use it as a prop. Its my life and I love it!
Do you come from a background of training in the arts?
I did a few fashion shows when I was younger. I was involved in tap, ballet, jazz and gymnastics since I could walk so I’m comfortable with the pre show butterflies. This probably contributes to my love of attention and adrenaline. I didn't think I was in any way prepared for the work that I do now... but perhaps 7 years involved in exxotic dancing could have a big hand in my comfort level and appreciation towards the body.
What are your favorite types of outfits to model in?
I love it all!!! You could have me in a mans business suit dressed from tie to shoe... or you could have me in nothing but a tie and I could make them both sexy and erotic or girl next door prime and proper. Its all about the state of mind your in for the shoot. Music helps me the best with this factor. There not yet my favorite but I would like to start experimenting more with the leather look as well as pin-ups style. These styles have always intrigued me and I feel that these styles involve the most comfort with ones self as far as poses and facial expressions... there very extenuated. If I can achieve this style I feel I would have completed all styles I would prefer to be associated in and would have full filled most of my modeling career goals. At least for today...
What are your least favorites?
My least favorite.....ummm... I can go naked and love it... so.... I don’t have an answer for this one.... But my least favorite shoots are one that it doesn’t matter what I have on... if the music isn't the right station... or I got in a fight with someone at a line in a store.... AND on top of it the photographer and I just aren't connecting and the music choice is not helping... then modeling becomes... work. Not that I let that interfere with me having fun and being professional and doing what I have to do.. but it would have been a better time..with a connection. Its like any job... you wake up in a great mood and someone cuts you off on your way to work... then there’s no milk for your coffee.... then someone steals your parking space at work... when you finally do get there, a happy smiling face to greet you at your desk is a lot more appealing than your boss with an grumpy face complaining about the shoot he/she did before you showed up (not actual experiences)
How did you become interested in fetish/BDSM?
Fetish and BDSM.... I was first introduced a little from the clubs I danced at... You are offered many... different things, as an exxotic dancer. These requests eventually became less shocking to hear and I was like... what? Your gonna pay me to do what??? I still never took them up on the offer but hours later questioned my decision. Once I became more comfortable with my body and I started modeling these things eventually became interesting to me. I consider myself an adrenaline junky and something new became exciting. I started doing workshops and experimenting with things and I learned that I enjoy these things. And I am where I am today!
Do you enjoy fetishism/BDSM play in your personal life, and if so what are you into?
I enjoy things I don’t like... I know... its weird. But I don’t like feet but I love feet and hand worshiping.. I love the constriction of pleather and straight jackets... which reminds me my first straight jacket experience was as a dancer in a club and this guy used to get VIP rooms with this straight jacket... it was always soo relaxing I felt like I was drugged when I had to leave him to go on stage. It was such a relaxing meditative state... I was shocked the first time I did it. I love restrictions.... gags, visual, and movement.
What is it about Tattoos that intrigues you?
Tattoos intrigue me because I love finding the different sensitive spots on a body and how they are so different to the next person. I studied Anthropology at school and we read a book where the author studied tattoos and different concepts of pain during music and light while being tattooed. I began to bring experiments in to the tattoo with me. What song is playing on the radio while I'm getting work done? What location on my body hurts and does it hurt more for the liner needle or the filler needle. To get something tattooed on your body means its a picture of a certain detail that is going on in your life. Its like a visual timeline. One can either tell you a story of a particular time in their life that caused them to get that art... or they can tell you what happened in a picture based on noticing a tattoo and being able to say the years about in which this picture was taken. Its a stamp in time.
Are there any other creative mediums you work in?
No. I love dance, music and art. But you'll never see me on Broadway. I sound like a dying frog and could swear I’m tone def and other than the farfrompuckn stick figures I have no artistic ability other than through my body.
What kind of music do you like?
I love all kinds of music because I have such an appreciation towards things I am 100% clueless about. I clean my house to the blues, I dance to rock or hip hop, I love musicals.
What do you like to do for fun?
For fun I like to spend time with my animals and family. I'm boring I guess. I’m somewhat of a loner.
