What inspired you to pick up a camera?
I first got into photography as a required course for my major in Graphic Design in college. I’ve loved photography ever since then.
What particular challenges do you face with Pinup photography as opposed to other genres?
For me I think the biggest challenge with pinup photography is trying to get the authentic vintage look. That starts with wardrobe and ends with hair and makeup. Having a model that understands the genre and can pull off the look helps as well.
Do you prefer to shoot with film or digital?
Having worked with both I’d have to say that I prefer digital over film.
How did you become interested in Pinup style?
I’ve always loved the grace and style of the 40’s and 50’s and pinup represents the glamourized version of that era to me.
Do you think pinup and fetish are becoming part of the mainstream culture?
I think pinup will always be a product of pop-culture and fetish a product of counter-culture. That's part of the "cool" associated with them.
Are there any other creative mediums you work in?
Yes. I draw, paint, create digital art and do animation as well.
What kind of music do you like?
I like just about all genres of music so the best way I can answer that question is to tell you that I’m currently listening to Norah Jones in my iPod.
What do you like to do for fun?
When I’m not doing photography I like to draw or paint.
