HOW DID YOU GET STARTED MODELING?
I started when I was 16, a close friend of mine if a fantastic photographer and we decided to do a few shoots together, after that photographers got in touch on Model Mayhem or facebook and would organize more shoots from there! I really loved it as soon as I started doing, as vein as it sounds I love being in front of a camera! Modeling is definitely my biggest hobby.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MODELING?
The new ideas and the prospect of creating an image that will make people go 'wow' and remember it. When you keep doing the same style images it can get a bit boring, that's why I love doing new ideas. What excites me about it, is that it's mad how many looks one person can have, you just have to be creative. Modeling is an art, I am a great lover of the arts... Also to see the images reappear in years to come and look back and think 'oh I remember that! Back in the day...'
DO YOU COME FROM A BACKGROUND OF TRAINING IN THE ARTS?
I'm a performer, always have been and always will. I've been dancing and acting since I was 4 and it's something I am deeply passionate about. I study performing arts at college now and am in the process of applying to drama schools in London. I believe modeling is an addition in my portfolio and will help me greatly within the performing business. I've taken part in big dance shows in London and been in television before. As I said before, I'd be lying if I said I didn't love being in front of a camera!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF OUTFITS TO MODEL IN?
Something different. I've done a bird themed photo shoot before, as well as a leopard one. To create those looks was very interesting! I love the pin up look. I'm already a vintage model, however I adore the underwear pin up girls wear. Even though you're in your undies, you have a certain class about you, it's old fashioned and still admired. I like that.
WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITES?
Probably just the simple glamour look. Page 3 style of images. No doubt the girls in those images are beautiful, although the look is just not for me.
CLASSIC PINUP HAS BECOME A HUGE PHENOMENA LATELY, WHAT ABOUT IT FIRST CAPTURED YOUR INTEREST?
I know! And I am so glad that it has. Pin ups are beautiful, the clothes they wear, the style of their hair and their iconic poses. I've always loved old fashion images and the style of pin up sums me up. I have a tiny waist (24inch!) and wide hips, something that was always about in those days, now everyone's just skinny, I don't like it. I read a quote once on the back of a pin up book "To look at these pictures is to remember that there was a time when taking off your clothes was a potent gesture, when there mere fact of a naked woman could be thrilling" - National Post, Toronto. I like that quote, it makes sense. Pin up is something of beauty, not trashy. That's why I love it.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER CREATIVE MEDIUMS YOU WORK IN?
Do not work, apart from modeling. I study performing arts at Southampton college. It's great fun. I'm always learning and discovering. Although I'd be lying if I said I could sing.. Dance and acting all the way!
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
I will listen to anything, honestly. I've gone through my stages of listening to one type genre of music and now I embrace anything. I love Johnny Cash, he's my favorite probably. It all depends on what mood I'm in! I'm a big fan of rock, nothing trashy though.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
Socializing. I'm such a social bunny, I love to meet new people. I'm very confident when it comes to new faces and I like knowing lots of people. I love to be surrounded by friendly faces. I also love to go and dance... I don't have to be drunk, but I'll always be on the highest podium dancing!
