HOW DID YOU GET STARTED MODELING?
I started Modeling after first becoming a professional Mistress about 6 years ago, I needed some good quality photos for my website and publicity, and after doing some shoots with a couple of Italy’s top fetish photographers (Paul.F, Kim Baku) I started getting a lot of requests from other photographers once the photos were published. I really enjoyed modeling, it was a subject (fetish) that I was already passionate about and it just seemed like the natural transition to make considering I was already in the Industry.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MODELING?
I myself am a very artistic and creative person, I’ve inherited it from both my mother and father (him a musician her an interior designer) and I’ve always expressed my creativity from being a small child in many different ways. I'm creative in my BDSM sessions, I draw and paint, I love arts and crafts, I work with wood to create items for my studio and home furnishings, and I'm always redecorating my house. After the first couple of shoots I did I loved the final outcome. I’d had a lot of fun participating, organizing the scene, doing make up, choosing outfits and general styling, but the most exciting part for me was the finished product, the photo, this time not only had I contributed to creating that piece of art but I was actually a part of it. It was an amazing feeling, and every time I get a new set of photos I still get that same buzz!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF OUTFITS TO MODEL IN?
Being a Gemini you could say I have multiple personalities, and so it’s difficult to specify one type as a favorite, I love to change myself and my appearance all the time, I’m like a chameleon and can adapt to any surroundings, give me some leather and I can be a hard rock bitch stinking with attitude, stick a corset on me and a flower in my hair and I can be a demure and elegant pin up girl, innocent with a naughty twinkle in her eye, and I'm comfortable and natural in both roles. It’s true to say that I have my own personal fetishes, I do love rubber and leather, but I would become bored very easily if I couldn’t explore many different character types.
WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITES?
There are no least favorites! Every new outfit is a possibility to try on a new persona, be somebody different for a day, have a new adventure in somebody else's skin, and explore the many other personalities that I could be hiding inside my head somewhere!
WHAT KIND OF SHOOTS WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK ON IN THE FUTURE?
Maybe this line is getting boring now but there are no preferences, I’ll try anything once. For me it also doesn’t make sense to put limitations on myself by thinking “I want to do this specific thing or that specific thing”, the human imagination is amazing, and by placing myself in a specific box I could be loosing a lot of incredible opportunities. You never know what crazy and wonderful idea someone has in their mind when they are looking to propose a project and I don’t want to be not considered because I've put myself in a box. I want to discover whats in that persons mind and if it’s interesting be a part of it, no matter what kind of project it is. I’m open to all suggestions and will give good consideration to any proposal.
HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN FETISH MODELING?
Not really sure how to answer this question without repeating my answer from the first question... for me getting started was what created the interest so it’s kind of the same thing...
DO YOU THINK PINUP AND FETISH ARE BECOMING PART OF THE MAINSTREAM CULTURE?
It’s hard to say with fetish, I think it’s obvious that it’s becoming a bigger part of mainstream culture, if you look at pop videos and things like that you see it often, but for me it’s hard to notice it what with being so involved with the fetish industry as a whole, once your deep into that rabbit hole the lines between the industry itself and whats “mainstream” become a little blurred, whats considered “taboo” for others is mainstream to me so at times it’s hard to distinguish between the two.
As for pin up I think there’s absolutely no doubt that it has become very mainstream, its a side of things I'm not heavily involved with but I see it everywhere! It’s fashion, it’s music, it’s cinema, it’s on tv, it’s evening entertainment in the commercial clubs, at this point there's no escaping it anymore! I think it’s been much easier for the whole pin up and burlesque culture to become mainstream though, it’s basically just history repeating itself, just like we get 60’s 70’ and 80’s come backs, the 50’s have made it back too, it was once socially accepted and so there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be again.
Unlike fetish which has always been considered on the darker more taboo side of things, it’s never been wholly accepted by society as a ‘normal’ aspect of life or entertainment and so for that reason it has more trouble breaking the barriers. Unless your actually in the scene, your probably not going to see so much of anything fetish related other than a few pretty costumes and vague suggestiveness in the music videos, and it will probably stay that way for a long time to come. Its one thing to accept a pretty girl with a vintage style and a very classy and entertaining way of taking her clothes off, its completely another to accept the personal and darker fantasies and turn ons of people minds, I don’t think all of society is quite ready for that yet, even if I wish it were.
HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH ROCK 'N ROLL SINNERS?
I visit Holland several times a year to get involved with different BDSM and fetish projects there, often as a live performer, and so I was looking for someone that could perhaps get me a little more visibility in that area. I love Holland, its one of my favorite countries (and I have visited many!) to visit, socialize and work in, its such an open minded place, everything's more socially accepted and so artists have more space to let there creativity flow, I wanted to try and get more opportunities so I could spend more time there, and during my research I came across Rock ’n Roll Sinners.
I contacted them and got to have a good chat with Nick, he was really enthusiastic, supportive of my requirements, and I liked the way that his agency catered to all kinds of different styles in the alternative industry, and that I wouldn’t be put in that “box” I mentioned before. It seemed like the right choice for me and in fact he has done a great job of giving me visibility, he’s not all talk like you get with a lot of other agency’s and his efforts to get my name out there are actually visible.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER CREATIVE MEDIUMS YOU WORK IN?
Being a fetish model is not actually my principal line of employment, it’s one of several different roles I have in the BDSM and fetish industry, my main role within this industry is as a professional Dominatrix. That's what I started as (at a very young age), it’s my biggest passion and continues to be my main source of income, starting from there and getting involved in the scene I then went on to being involved in other things, mainly as a fetish model, a live performer, and as a bondage artist. These may not be my principal forms of employment but are all still very important to me as each role gives me many different possibilities to work within the industry.
I’ve modeled for fine art and fashion photography, fashion catwalk shows, publicity, I've done live performances at some of the biggest fetish parties and events in Europe, I’ve done bondage exhibitions at conventions, I’ve made SM movies, I’ve participated in an interactive desktop documentary about fetish within amature porn with one of Italy’s top sexual researchers Sergio Messina, I write regular articles for Italy’s number 1. FemDom magazine “Donne e Dolori” (Women and pain), and have been on Italian television several times, interviewed for news spots about the growth of the industry, documentaries about bondage, my profession and the lifestyle, and interviews for an Italian sky sex channel about modern day transgression. I was also recently asked to feature in a music video for the new single of an Italian heavy metal band, so the different creative mediums and projects I work within are endless!
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
Same old story, nothing in particular, I never like to be tied down to just one thing! I have very eclectic tastes and if you were to walk your dog down the street outside my house every day you would probably be very confused by the sounds that come pouring out, one day I'm listening to heavy rock like tool and Rammstein, and the next day it might be a bit of country with Johnny Cash or the Kings Of Leon, the day after that its 2pac, Jayz and the Wu Tang Clan, and the day after that some funky house and electronica, or jazz, or classical, or acoustic, or folk, and very very occasionally even some pop! I’m afraid there is just no putting a label on me no matter what the context!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
Most of my fun includes the creative stuff, I'm always drawing and painting and things like that. I’m a serious movie buff, and have almost 2TB of the most disturbing movies ever made in the history of cinema, that's a collection I really enjoy expanding, I’m not so much a gore fan, but very fascinated by the darker side of the human mind, I love to watch a nasty film and think “what kind of mind could think up this horrifying tale?!”, I’m also a beach bum, love the summer and the second it comes I'm stripped off and laid on the beach somewhere (nudist beach – I don’t do white lines!) I have very funny English skin too which sometimes defines the kind of shoot I do, I tan really well and get quite dark for the summer and autumn, and then when winter comes around the colour drains right out of me very quickly and I'm transparent like a ghost, so glamourous photo shoots in the summer and the more gothic stuff in the winter!! Haha
My fun is simple these days, I prefer the smaller quieter comforts in life, I once was a crazy raver who traveled the width and breadth of the country to dance like a mad woman to the best DJs and attend the biggest music festivals, but that time has passed, I’m old before my time and I wouldn’t last 5 minutes in that scene now, give me a movie and a pizza on the couch any day! :)
