HOW DID YOU GET STARTED MODELING?
I started when I was about 7 years old, doing pageants and commercial modeling for a local agency in Virginia. I stopped doing pageants, for the obvious reasons, and didn't pick it back up until I was 15. I started working and made enough money to pay for some photographers and went about it all the wrong way. I wasted a lot of money on photographers offering modeling head shots and such.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MODELING?
You can change who you are in front of the camera. I also love being able to show a story or an idea with a photograph, and that someone else might get a different message from the same photo.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF OUTFITS TO MODEL IN?
I really love latex. Something about the way it looks on the body just makes me feel completely different and more confident.
WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITES?
I am not to picky, tho I have never been a big fan of fur. I wore a fake fur piece in a shoot once and I really didn't like it.
WHAT KIND OF SHOOTS WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK ON IN THE FUTURE?
I really want to put myself out there more and open up creatively. I am interested in doing more "alternative" type shoots and expressing not only myself but representing brands and other artists as well.
HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN FETISH MODELING?
I have always felt that commercial modeling was where I fit in with my height and body type, but personality and style wise it wasn't clicking. I joined model mayhem shortly after I got out of high school and saw all these amazing, short, curvy, pierced, and tattooed women doing well at their modeling careers. It was like there was a secret I stumbled upon, and I wanted in!
DO YOU THINK PINUP AND FETISH ARE BECOMING PART OF THE MAINSTREAM CULTURE?
Yes! It always has been, just a little watered down or misplaced. You can always find some high end designer pulling out some fish net or vinyl trying to make a "new" trend.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER CREATIVE MEDIUMS YOU WORK IN?
Drawing was my first passion. I have been fascinated with all forms of art since I can remember. I like to paint even though I have a hard time with oil paints, but I am trying to learn. I love making collages and working in mixed mediums. I recently picked up wood burning and I am totally in love with it. Being a full time hairstylist is also a big part of my life and I personally believe it to be its own art form.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
I am currently listening to The Used as I type this, but I like almost all music. It just depends on what I want to hear. To name off a few I guess: Korn, Otep, Eminem, Adele, Asher Roth, Smashing Pumpkins, The Used, Rise Against, Drake, Jason Mraz, Kelly Clarkson, PANTyRAiD, Incubus, etc. etc. etc.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
Mostly my work is pretty fun. Doing hair, getting dressed up for a shoot. I like random road trips, and traveling, being outside! Not a big party goer, but every once in awhile its nice. I love hanging out with my fiance, reading, being online, and anything creative.
