HOW DID YOU GET STARTED MODELING?
After meeting Abe Robinson (Owner/Operator of Blind 7 Photography), I walked through the door that had the name POTENTIAL written on the mailbox. The box was full of ideas. Posh Portraits and Brett Stoddart (TIDY Photography) would join the arsenal thereafter. Through my experiences my career has been looked at in my eyes as touch & go. I'm a freelance model in the know of exactly where I want to go and very aware of how much effort it takes to put into my dreams to make them realities. I'd later find myself as being President/Cofounder for a Non Profit called Ohio Altered Beauties where charity work drives my passion for that unforgettable urge to help others, just like I did in the military. I have a mantra that never leaves the memories of my mind, "You've never really lived, until you've done something for someone, who can never repay you." My goal as a model is to make a difference no matter the art form.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MODELING?
As always the thrilling experience is at the top of the list. The self expression you're capturing with every photo shoot has no price tag on it that can be bought. It can only be felt. Modeling allows me to live in unique worlds from putting on custom made dressware to self expressed ideas of attire that participate in letting the visions inside me live right out in the open. I've also learned to start sharpening my patience through modeling. If you want the right shot, you've got to shoot them all.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF OUTFITS TO MODEL IN?
My favorite outfit is my professionally designed dress by Devoid N Deveil from Chicago, IL. The dress was to resemble the Queen from the movie Snow White and the Huntsman (which has a confirmed cover awaiting 2014). He has to be my favorite Dark Couture Designer that I have had the pleasure of working with. But on an average day if I'm shooting with Blind & Photography probably nude I'm more fun and goofy naked.
WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITES?
If I had to express a pet peeve of mine in the modeling industry that would be the hours they take part in. I'm a night owl. Let's shoot after the sun goes down. Who's in?
WHAT IS IT ABOUT TATTOOS THAT INTRIGUES YOU?
Inspiration is delivered in all forms. The gift of achieving a self sufficient lifestyle is a major drive of mine. My husband Kenn has always been an inspiration to me, especially through his tattoo work. His artistic influence and passion through his one of a kind art style and passion for self expression lead me to follow my dreams of modeling. I'm proud to say, "I'm doing exactly what I preach and every footprint I make is mine." A close second (with an added laugh in my head followed by one of those famous single lip curled actions) would be my deployment from my time of service. My mental "strategy" from saying goodbye to that past life, but most certainly not forgotten, was to unleash the force of nature built into me that always keeps me awake at night. If you can't stop thinking about something you're supposed to do, then do something about it. Mine says Model, Help Others, Teach, Listen, and Inspire.
