HOW DID YOU GET STARTED MODELING?
When I was a freshman in high school I befriended a group of older students, some of whom were already in college taking photography courses. Because they frequently came to visit my school and their old friends, “Photo shoot,” was a game played daily. Hand teenagers DSLR's and this is what you'll get I guess. On occasion they'd use me for school projects, and of course photos were part of every hang out session. I didn't consider modeling until I was around 16, when I made my first Model Mayhem page. Unfortunately I wasn't ready for any of the attention, and had neither of my parents on-board with it, making underage modeling quite impossible. I deactivated the account and was rarely seen in front of a camera until after I'd turned 18 and started working in a beauty salon. My boss I guess saw something beautiful in me, and sent me across the street to a neighboring photography studio to have hair and makeup head shots done for her salon. I guess the rest is history. I'm available for hire, go check out my MM pages!
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MODELING?
So far its been an adventure! I love meeting new people and going new places and getting a real clear picture about what the real world can be like. As with all things, there is some good and some bad, but the good far outweighs the bad. I also get to explore the arts and levels of myself in a sense. I suppose what excites me the most though is being part of the creation of art and providing whatever inspiration I can to the artist. There are many things to be excited about.
DO YOU COME FROM A BACKGROUND OF TRAINING IN THE ARTS?
Far from it. I took two years of visual art during school, which I intend to pursue further in the future. So far as formal training the the arts goes, I have none.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF OUTFITS TO MODEL IN?
Lingerie wins hands down. I'd love to be a lingerie model. Anything that enhances the qualities the female form possesses, I guess. Getting all glammed up in some little dress is really fun too, because it lets me be somebody else for a few hours. And of course, the birthday suit is one of my favorites.
WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITES?
Least favorite? All clothing has merit I guess. I think sportswear and parkas and stuff like that would be the least fun, cause who looks good in that?
WHAT IS IT ABOUT TATTOOS THAT INTRIGUES YOU?
Tattoos are just another artistic medium, skin is just another canvas. It takes time and forethought to create a piece that you will be proud to bear for the rest of your life. That, and I love my tattoo artist, he's just awesome.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER CREATIVE MEDIUMS YOU WORK IN?
I'm a dabbler to the core >.< I've tried numerous instruments, drawing, painting, building, cooking, baking, writing... I've come to the conclusion that I make a better muse than artist.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
Right now I'm loving bands like Angelspit (I really love Angelspit), Pendulum, and The Glitch Mob. Some good old standbys: Tool, A Perfect Circle, NIN, Deftones, Chevelle Collide, the kidneythieves, Shiny Toy Guns., stuff like that. I'll listen to just about anything though, I'm not particularly genre specific.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
Uhh I'm a college student so I guess going to class is my “for fun” activity. I'm a total geek on the inside. Just playing. Not really. When I am not cramming collegiate knowledge into my head I like being active, walking, biking, (shopping), hiking, camping, (photo)shooting, getting pretty, cooking, adventuring, mad science experimenting and watching cartoons. I'm shy and don't party a ton. My favorite pastime is gardening. It's physically strenuous and I get to chill outside all day, whats not to love?
