HOW DID YOU GET STARTED MODELING?
After studying classical art and composition, I began working with photographers and makeup artists to create portfolio pieces. That snowballed into professional work with clients like Paul Mitchell, Reebok, Lady Footlocker, Body Glove and Toms Shoes.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MODELING?
I love collaborating with different artists and exploring a creative vision together. It excites me to start with an idea and develop it into an image or work of art. The camaraderie when the team that brings that vision to life is awesome.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF OUTFITS TO MODEL IN?
I enjoy avante garde fashion that incorporates different textures and materials. I love everything form edgy structured looks to flowy romantic fabrics. It's fun to be able to play with the angles of the outfit or the material to capture some motion.
WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITES?
I prefer not to wear anything pokey or uncomfortable. I love modeling sequins as long as they don't feel like little shards of glass. Most things I don't mind for photos because you don't have to stay in them forever, but for live events, I avoid shoes that are annoying.
WHAT KIND OF SHOOTS WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK ON IN THE FUTURE?
I would love to do more creative and artistic shoots that push the boundaries of typical fashion/editorial styles. I love the out of the box high concept shoots. I also love beauty shoots as well as timeless photos.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER CREATIVE MEDIUMS YOU WORK IN?
I am a filmmaker and writer so I constantly use the pen to conjure ideas for the camera. I adore motion pictures and storytelling so bringing movement to these artistic themes is very exciting for me. Most of the projects I write, produce and/or direct mainly focus on fashion, action and comedy, but I enjoy exploring other genres as well.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
I like everything from The Doors to A Perfect Circle, Tool to Ellie Goulding and Adele. Mostly rock, alternative, electronic and some chillout mixes. It depends on what I'm working on, if I want to get all pumped up I may put on some dubstep, but if I'm writing I like to listen to epic film scores so it varies drastically with my mood.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
Art is fun for me, so anything creative. I love to cook and experiment with flavors and fusions in the kitchen. I enjoy nature, hiking, extreme sports, scuba, skydiving, climbing mountains, helicopters, cars, surfing, beaches living life to fullest...following my dreams
