HOW DID YOU GET STARTED MODELING?
I had my first photo shoot when I was 18. I bought a very traditional gothic ballgown simply because I thought it was amazing and quickly realized it was a little too impractical to wear for most occasions. I met a photographer who offered to do a shoot with it and that's what's got me started.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MODELING?
Getting dressed up and styled for a particular theme is the most fun for me. It's a chance to be larger than life and creative. It's exciting creating different personas. Working with other people and their ideas sometimes allows you get a result you may not necessarily have thought of.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF OUTFITS TO MODEL IN?
Anything that emphasis the female figure is good such as corsets and skin tight stretchy things, but I can also like quite quirky, unstructured clothing too. Androgynous and leopard print clothes are also good.
WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITES?
I don't really have any least favorites. I think if the hair and make-up is right you can pull almost anything off.
WHAT KIND OF SHOOTS WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK ON IN THE FUTURE?
I've definitely got the latex bug now so anything involving latex would be good. I haven't really done anything retro so that would be quite good. Anything that looks quite pretentious and strange I'm up for also haha.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER CREATIVE MEDIUMS YOU WORK IN?
I'm a qualified make-up artist so I have experience of styling other models for photo shoots. I've been a drummer for a few years in a couple of bands and I've just started my own project, Neon Impossible, for which I'm doing everything myself. I also enjoy creative writing but at the moment I'm mainly concentrating on writing for magazines or newspapers. I've had a few gig reviews published and at the moment I'm working on an article about burlesque.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
Most of the music I listen to falls under either punk, goth, electro or 90s indie music. A lot of what I like isn't really current apart from a band called IAMX who are my favorite band.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
To sum up dressing up, make-up, making music, writing about things I care about and anything alcohol based is rather fun!
