HOW DID YOU GET STARTED MODELING?
Well… I have wanted to model for a long time, and my mom had always told me she was going to help me get started. I was about 14 or 15 but unfortunately she could never make the time to grab her camera, and snap some pictures, so a lot of time had passed before I had even reconsidered modeling. It wasn’t until half way through my first semester of college, when I met Starlotte and Matt. Now two of my closest friends, we started just doing random stuff with my lingerie and Star doing hair and makeup, with Matt holding Star’s, Mom’s camera. We had no idea what we where doing, but it was for art...and that was all. After a few shoots, Matt considered doing photography as a summer job, and so we continued to do a variety of shoots to open up our portfolios. Now less than a year has past, and we are all starting on our way to making something out of nothing
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MODELING?
Ha…I am hardly the cocky type, so modeling to me is about capturing an image of emotion. Usually I am in some sort of mood and mind set when I think up a theme. I almost get into the skin of someone or something else to try to portray something that will create the visual that I am looking for in the end. I only get nervous and excited while getting into that skin while doing hair, make up and wardrobe. As soon as I know the camera is up, I know what I am doing from there.
DO YOU COME FROM A BACKGROUND OF TRAINING IN THE ARTS?
Actually, I do. I guess you could say I “majored” in performing arts in high school. I did every drama class, every year, including the high school musical. The only thing was, the teacher knew I could act in any role…so she gave me the spots that she couldn’t find anyone else for. Most of the time I’d work more than one role per skit, again only because I can be that versatile, but I didn’t end up doing any main roles, and I didn’t really get any notable experience from it, but I did loose my stage fright, and gave me the spine to stand in front of the camera.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF OUTFITS TO MODEL IN?
Hm…I consider myself a bit on the alternative side when it comes to style, so I like outfits that go with that…but I also like to mix things up. I love looking classy at times, or going all vintage. Even looking dead, or zombie like. I consider my modeling to be very versatile, as well as my own personal style.
WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITES?
Well…I guess anything where I have to be overly exposed. I have only done one bare-back shoot, and I was pretty uncomfortable even though the results where very pretty looking. I don’t think I could ever do nudes.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT TATTOOS THAT INTRIGUES YOU?
Haha! Everything! I love tattoos, I find them attractive on others and fun to get done on myself. My tattoos may not be of anything beautiful, or really stunning…yet…But I also believe that I am getting tattoos for who I am now, and not worrying about what they will look like in 40 years…because in 40 years I will be worrying about hundreds of other things, none of those being my tattoos. I also believe that my tattoos are always going to have a negative outlook to others, but that just means that it doesn’t matter what they really mean, or what they even look like, tattoos always have negative stereotypes. At the moment I have 5: One on my wrist that is an equation. This one was my first tattoo, and originally was for a guy I was seeing. Luckily I got it as an equation and not a name, so that’s alright I think. My second tattoo is on my collar bone, spelling out MMLM. This one has two meanings…one meaning I tell my family, the other I tell my friends. My 3rd tattoo is on my hip, and is a Portal Sentry Turrett…just for fun. 4th is on my shoulder, venom logo. I will be adding a lot more comics and video games to my tattoo collection as well. I have about 6 or 7 planned. My newest tattoo is on my hand of a blue rose coming out of my hand. It will grow into an entire sleeve of roses up to a shoulder piece of zombies. Should be great.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER CREATIVE MEDIUMS YOU WORK IN?
Well I do my own hair and make up as well as wardrobe for the majority of my shoots. I also make props and sets, to work with my shoots. But I am also in college for cartoon animation, so I draw a lot, as well as paint, and such.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
Everything from old school rock, to punk and pop. I love electro and house, and also dubstep and techno. But I could probably listen to a good mix of everything...everything except country.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
For fun? Well I play a lot of video games, read into comics, paint, draw, or just be creative.
