HOW DID YOU GET STARTED MODELING?
To be honest with you, I'm not really sure, it just sort of happened! My husband needed an actress for one of his films and he was looking on Modelmayhem.com. After looking through a bunch of peoples portfolios I felt a strong desire to have my own portfolio, so I built one using regular photos, from vacations, etc and over the last 3 years those have been replaced with professional photos shot by many Portland, OR photographers and some from other parts of the country!
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MODELING?
I really love to be in front of the camera, something about it turns me into a totally different person. It's fun to get all dressed up and have my hair and make up done, it's more fun to get to take off my clothing and it's the most fun to express parts of myself that otherwise would need to be kept inside. I like to play a character when I model, be it happy, sad, sex goddess or monster. Modeling allows me to be every part of myself all at once and in a simple click of the camera, the moment is captured and can live on forever.
DO YOU COME FROM A BACKGROUND OF TRAINING IN THE ARTS?
Yes, I do. I have been an art student for the last 4 years. I started at Pratt Institute when I was 18 and then I took some time off, moved out west and now I am a student at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. I am a sculpture major.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF OUTFITS TO MODEL IN?
I like to wear corsets a lot, but I wouldn't say that pin-up/glamour photography is my favorite thing to do. I much prefer more fetishy type outfits, like nylons and giant heels or little boys underwear and thigh high socks - when I wear things like this I think I get my best images because I feel so devilishly sexy!
WHAT ARE YOUR LEAST FAVORITES?
Eh, I don't have a least favorite. If I had to say something I'd say a school girl outfit...but I've never had to do that before. It just seems so cliche!
WHAT IS IT ABOUT TATTOOS THAT INTRIGUES YOU?
My father had tattoos, and growing up I always loved to look at them and knew that when I was old enough I would get tattoos too. I think what keeps me coming back for more is the whole process: Deciding what tattoo you want (whether it's an idea, a personal drawing, a famous picture, etc), collaborating with your tattoo artist about what exactly is going to happen, feeling the pain and rush of getting the tattoo, taking care of it afterwards and then having it become a part of you forever. Damn, I love tattoos...I want a new one now!
ARE THERE ANY OTHER CREATIVE MEDIUMS YOU WORK IN?
Yes, indeed! As I said before, I am a sculptor, so I do that. I use mostly found objects - what is one man's trash is Adora's treasure, you could say! I also like to draw people, especially when they are unaware that I am drawing them. I recently started to write a lot as well, I am working on a book of short stories and I hope to illustrate them myself!
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
It depends on the day, weather, mood and time, but, I like electronica, dubstep, reggae, classic rock and funk.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
I like to hula hoop, dance, go bowling, play with my dog, read books, watch movies, eat...the usual stuff, just in excess! It's like Dr. Seuss said, "It's fun to have fun but you have to know how!"
